Our client is looking for a QA Lab Analyst to join their team

Responsibilities:

  • HPLC analysis
  • Testing and inspection of all raw materials, packaging, bulk, and finished goods) according to the current quality control test method as per standard.
  • Samples, tests, and inspects various water samples for quality and reports outcomes thst are out of specification.
  • Processes outsourced testing requirements by means of sampling, checking, and sending to external service providers. Verifies and analyses results as per procedure and specifications.
  • Prepares and standardizes chemical solutions per procedure.
  • Involved in the checking of artwork/packaging and approval of artwork proofs/ packaging from suppliers.
  • Operates QC equipment and verifies where applicable i.e., HPLC, PH meters,
  • Viscometers, scales, ultrasonic bath, microscope, melting point meter, label printer.
  • Checks calibration status before use and reports any deviations to the QC Manager.
  • Cleans and ensures equipment is maintained in good working condition.
  • Ensure that all QC Analytical equipment is always fit for purpose.
  • Prepares the necessary microsampling when required.
  • Completes and signs all testing records and advises changes for updates.
  • Checks and files batch records in chronological order and controlled environment.
  • Troubleshoots customer complaints and assists in implementing corrective action through changes in procedures, documentation, and records.
  • Generates supplier complaints per procedure.
  • Capable of writing analytical reports on deviations.
  • Stores and maintains retained samples in chronological order in a controlled environment.
  • Counts Stock during the FYE stock take.
  • Sets packaging standards for quality for the production team.
  • Checks F&P reports against the weekly production plan.
  • Initiates, investigates and resolves deviations.

  • Accuracy/attention to detail,
  • Selfmotivated and shows initiative,
  • Computer skills; MS Word; MS Excel; MS Access,
  • Organized and punctual,

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 + ND Analytical Chemistry or related degree (B.Sc.)
years' experience with HPLC.

  • At least 1year lab analyst experience in a pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or related field.
