Spare Parts Manager

Fives Group, a well-known industrial engineering company with operations in over 30 countries, specializes in designing and supplying machines, process equipment, and production lines for various industries such as aluminum, steel, glass, automotive, aerospace, logistics, cement, minerals, energy, and sugar.
At Fives, the Aluminum business line focuses on providing process equipment and managing installations in the Carbon, Reduction, and Casthouse sectors of the Aluminum industry.
The Spare Parts Manager, reporting to the Customer Relations Manager, is responsible for defining and implementing the company's purchasing strategy, supply chain management, and leading sales activities to ensure effective supply and services for clients.
This role plays a crucial part in boosting spare parts revenue, enhancing customer service levels, and ultimately increasing the company's profitability by elevating customer satisfaction.
Spare Parts Function:
- Manage sales function for spare parts and establish a process roadmap to meet customer demand.
- Handle budgeting and forecasting for order intake, supported by a strategic plan.
- Set fixed pricing and framework agreements for spare parts and repairs.
- Monitor KPIs, address concerns, and implement enhancements.
- Stay informed about competitors and market offerings.
- Expedite customer orders and nurture customer relationships for long-term partnerships.
Procurement and Supply Function:
- Maintain and monitor supplier database.
- Develop suppliers to meet quality, price, lead time, and confidentiality requirements.
- Source suppliers as needed, pre-qualify them, and conduct site visits.
- Collaborate with QC/Workshop for services suppliers and ensure correct pricing on SAP.
- Expedite supply orders and assist finance with supplier payment queries.
- Ensure compliance with supplier diversity requirements.
Logistics Function:
- Oversee logistics and coordinate transportation of spare parts from overseas suppliers to customers, ensuring proper documentation.
- Work closely with agents to expedite deliveries and maintain incoterms.
- Adhere to transport budget and prevent unnecessary double handling of items.
General Duties:
- Maintain departmental procedures and ensure adherence.
- Lead teams to achieve sales objectives and enhance KPIs by setting goals and providing support.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports promptly.
Education and Experience:
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum N.Dip. level) in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering with sales and customer account management experience.
- Alternatively, Marketing, Commerce, or Business-related qualification with technical sales experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, customer management, procurement, or sales.
- Supply chain management or warehouse management experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of contract law, pricing, analytical skills, and SAP proficiency are desirable.
- Understanding of aluminum smelter/heavy industry process equipment is beneficial.
