Job summary
We are seeking a talented and organized baker. As our baker, you will prepare a variety of baked goods. You will follow existing recipes and prepare all breads, pastries, and cakes. You will also be responsible for maintaining and cleaning all baking equipment. You will have opportunities to create new recipes as well.

Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:

  • Matric.
  • Certificate in food Preparation and Cooking or Professional Cookery (Advantageous).
  • 23 years' experience working as a chef in a 5star hotel or similar establishment.
  • Own transport

Key performance objectives:

  • Able to work nights and weekends.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Physical endurance to stand for entire shift.
  • Selfmotivated and selfdirected
  • Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures, and state health and safety precautions and regulations
  • Understanding of food safety practices

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Chef (5Star Hotel): 2 years (required)
