Job Description:
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Support of investigations and the compilation of case documentsControl the setting and responses to alarms (where applicable)Conduct observation activities to support investigations (where applicable)Effectively drive security vehiclesClean and inspect on equipment and firearmsConducts required drug and alcohol testsAudit the conformance to proceduresGathers information through cultivating sourcesSupport the rostering and administration of Protection Services team Support the training of Protection Services teamAllocates tasks within a Protection Services teamMaintain facilities, equipment and personal imageIdentify and report problemsPromote security awarenessSupport effective teamworkParticipate in required meetingsAccurately complete role administration requirementsThis role is at a C1 level reporting to the Protection Services Officer

Qualifications:
Grade 12Registered with the PSIRA Grade BHandle and use a Shotgun for Business PurposesHandle and use a Handgun for Business PurposesSAPS Firearm competency (Handgun and shotgun)PSIRA Armed responses courseValid driver's License code BCompany Driver's License (AdvantageousEXPERIENCEMinimum 3 years' experience in Security environment or equivalentExperience in Information Gathering/IntelligenceKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Computer literacy Counter Industrial Action practicalApplicable SAPS firearm competencyCommunications in English (spoken, written and reading)Writing of statements and opening of case docketsHandling of various emergency situationsPsychometric Assessment for firearm users No criminal recordPass polygraph testProtection Services InductionVoluntary Principles on Security and Human RightsUse of Force ProcedureAAP Rules of engagement
