  • Conduct physical condition inspections as per schedule to ensure optimal safety performance management
  • Control and manage the safety and hygiene of the workplace at the project
  • Ensure that the physical visibility of workers is according to the requirements and standards of the respective project/ operating unit at which the project is performed
  • Conduct actual investigations (only damages, MTCs, FACs, near misses and non-conformances) f inalising report and getting signoff and copies of associated docs
  • Co-ordinate the Emergency drills and conduct Internal audit in respective areas

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • National Senior Certificate
  • SAMTRAC or COMSOC 1 & 2
  • National Diploma in Safety Management
  • Certificate of training in OHSAS 18001 System Auditing or integrated internal auditing would be advantageous
  • Legal liability and A2

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 2 TO 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer in the mining environment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license (Code 8)
  • Passport 360
