Senior Accoutant

Senior Accountant with B.Comm Accounting/Financial Management Degree and minimum 5 years' experience in Accounting, Treasury and People Management, required to manage foreign and local accounts, aspects of foreign exchange transactions and import and export logistics, as well as cash flow management to meet operational requirements, controlling foreign and local creditors, review and post transactions, accruals, provisions, process and control shipment files, Balance Sheet and PL completeness and accuracy.

Minimum requirements:

• B.Comm Accounting / Financial Management Degree essential
• Minimum 5 years' relevant Accounting and Treasury experience essential
• Experience in a supervisory role required

Responsibilities:

• Accounts manage foreign and local accounts and bank accounts, cashflow and monitor all incoming and outgoing funds
• Review and approve all local and international payments to local and foreign suppliers
• Manage daily bank reconciliation and ensure daily processing and balancing of General Ledger to Bank Statement of all bank accounts
• Maintain accurate daily FX rates

Shipping administration

• Import and Exports
• Import and export logistics
• Control foreign and local assigned creditors
• Cash flow management and reporting
• Reporting support financial controller with info to manage cash flow daily, weekly monthly though payments made to local and foreign suppliers, monthend on bank recons, cash balances, revaluations (foreign exchange contracts etc)
• Accounting, Auditing & Tax
• Accounts Payable review and post invoices, reconciliations, review ageing reports
• People Management
