Oversee the management of the work assignments for all maintenance tasks for the FSSC

  • Manage stationary and consumables to ensure accuracy of stock levels by putting control systems in place
  • Manage Facilities budget
  • Manage applicable FSSC service provider contracts and onsite staff
  • Through team work, manage on site contractors and projects
  • General office administration duties
  • Answering incoming calls on Cisco Console and transferring to relevant person.
  • Taking down of correct messages and ensuring message is delivered to relevant person.
  • Attend to guest's/client arrival and inform host.
  • Assist with reservations on line booking
  • Obtain catering quotes when requested by Meeting Hosts.
  • Assist with meeting room setup if and when required.
  • Ensure office equipment is in working order
  • To ensure compliance to all relevant SHEQ Legislation requirements and AECI standards in support of continuous improvement towards zero harm and to improve business units SHEQ's performance.
  • To conduct relevant SHEQ incident investigations, root cause analysis and facilitation of learning to prevent the reoccurrence of incidents.
  • To monitor and report on SHEQ performance in support of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct SHEQ risk assessments in the workplace to improve the effectiveness of SHEQ controls as part of AECI's risk management in support of zero harm.
  • To coach people and identify SHEQ training requirements to enable the business to fulfil SHEQ roles and responsibilities in support of a zeroharm culture
  • Coordinate and conduct Internal SHEQ Training program.
  • Ensure an Effective Induction Program is set up and conducted for employees and contractors.
  • Implement a medical surveillance program in line with AECI Requirements.
  • To ensure and provide assurance on contractor compliance (AECI and legislative requirements).
  • Comply with governance & compliance policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric.
  • Minimum: Diploma or relevant qualification in Office / Facilities or SHEQ Management
  • Advantageous: Degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum: 35 years' work experience in an office administration, maintenance, SHEQ or supportive role.
  • Computer literacy.
