Requirements

  • Recognized Apprenticeship served in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a hands on estimator
  • Good / sound knowledge of engineering materials e.g ferrous / Non ferrous
  • Good / sound knowledge of metal removing concepts / speeds / feeds
  • Good / solid knowledge &experience on engineering drawings
  • Good / sound knowledge & experience on Excell and must have good computer skills
  • Needs to be fez able in the approach to estimating on
**General engineering manufacturing concepts

**Economic batch manufacturing concepts

**General assemblies - projects costing

**Utilization of and improvement to Q.A / QC

**Manufacturing schedules

**Basic engineering sketches / Drawings where required

**Basic / advanced mathematical understanding with regards to ISO Metric standards / tolerances / geometrical executions

  • Must be of sober habits and able to work and interact with inter related personnel / departments / foremen / artisans etc.
  • Must be self motivated to maintain and improve all of the above aspects with a pleasing character
