The HMA Group is a dynamic national and international engineering company that specializes in the supply of wear resistant linings, material handling equipment, boiler cleaning equipment, maintenance services and instrumentation.

Our wide range of equipment and services are used in many industries including mining, industrial, petrochemical, oil and gas, process, power generation, water, and wastewater.


We are seeking a motivated individual, to support the HMA Wear Solutions team in South Africa to service the mining and industrial sectors.

As a market leader in this field, we have been manufacturing and supplying specialized ceramic wear resistant linings and systems for over 40 years.


The Role


You will be responsible for an existing customer base using your technical and commercial expertise to support and grow our business.

It will be your task to be a part of our continued growth in the region across our full range of products.

This is a position for somebody who desires an increased challenge, more responsibility and opportunity to make the role their own.

The role will require a strong acumen for meeting set out targets, reporting on visits and communicating regional economic and market trends.


About you

  • Experience in the Sales Cycle / Process
  • Ability to meet and exceed the set out KPI's.
  • Experience in Technical sales.
  • Experience with cross border mining and industrial sales an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated to develop business.
  • Team Player.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Enjoys solving problems
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Good positive mental attitude, "Whatever it takes", "Can Do" attitude
  • Ability to travel to site frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Grow existing accounts by maintaining relationships with existing clients and cold calling on potential new accounts
  • Manage operation of accounts through responding to customers, forecasting, arranging inspection services and presenting existing products and solutions.
  • Generate new leads and tackle existing leads to contribute to business growth.
  • Attend trade shows and relevant conferences.
  • Present technical papers in front of audiences.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Certificate/ Mechanical trade certificate or at least 5 years working experience selling Wear Products.
  • Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills Strong understanding of full sales process
  • Experience utilizing customer relationship management software
