Job Summary:

This is a full-time role for a Junior to Mid Web Developer, specifically for the development and implementation of Wordpress and Shopify web application solutions and sites.

The Web Developer will be responsible for front and back-end programming, web design and development.

They will work collaboratively with the Head of Digital, designers, and account staff to create visually, user friendly and appealing and highly functional websites and systems.


Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the full life-cycle, from initial scoping to final implementation and delivery.

Ensure you understand the client and business need to successfully translate that into products / servicesApply coding and development best practices, develop reference and proof of concept implementationsDesign and develop reusable components and servicesAbility to effectively communicate with internal and external customers across all areas of responsibility including but not limited to presentation, business logic, persistence, performance, scalability, and integrations.

Assist in specifying the features of physical design, estimate time and effort to complete each feature, build and implementation of features, prepare products for deployment.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
2 – 4 years working experienceBack-end web development and programming experienceFront-end web development skillsExperience with content management systemsExperience in both Shopify and WordpressProven work ethic with strong time management skillsWeb development skills in building responsive and interactive websitesExperience with web design tools and techniques to create visually appealing websites (design skill not compulsory)Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable, and efficient workStrong problem-solving skills and an ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issuesMarketing background highly beneficialAble to strategise with marketing and design team

Basic understanding of SEO principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A marketing background or experience working with marketing teams is beneficial.
