Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for the monitoring, evaluation and operation of the distillation processes – continuous and batch processes Responsible for the monitoring, evaluation & corrective action in order to meet the production efficiency of the distillation processes Managing Overall plant / equipment efficiency Responsible for loss control in the distillation environment Ensure water treatment standards are adhered to Manage subordinates who work on a continuous shift basis Ensure that the production plant is properly maintained Responsible for stock control & procurement of all raw materials pertaining to the production process Ensure that the relevant ISO 9001: 2008 documents are reviewed and updated on a continuous basis Ensure that safety instructions according to site standards are adhered to Leading and participating in the site E2 Programme (Continuous Improvement)

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

Relevant tertiary level qualification – Preferably National Diploma/Btech/B-Degree Chemical Engineering / Winemaking / Food Sciences or other related field of study At least 3 years relevant experience in a supervisory capacity Strong leadership qualities Must be willing to stand in on shifts from time to time Willingness to work overtime and when necessary react on call outs and do ad hock spot checks during night shifts Demonstrable knowledge of distillation processes would be highly advantageous Sound communication, conflict handling and problem solving skills Must be able to work accurately Health and safety knowledge is necessary Computer literacy (Word, Excel, SAP) Valid drivers licence (Code 08) as well as own reliable transport Strong administrative abilities is necessary (including SAP, ISO and Excise procedures) Punctuality and attendance reliability
