Our client, one of South Africa's Largest Bank's is looking for a Support Specialist with experience in infrastructure and architecture to join their dynamic team.


Purpose Statement

  • Coordinate, investigate and provide timely feedback on incoming E-Channels related queries received from the Business Support Centre (BSC) and Complaint Management to the requesting party with the guidance of the E-Channels Specialist.
  • Log and track E-Channels incidents on Jira.
  • Oversee small system and/or operational improvements resulting from user and client queries.

Experience

(Minimum):

Years proven experience in providing technical support to departments dealing with client queries

  • Ideally have understanding and working experience of SQL to look up and correlate databases
  • Escalation processing, Isolation and Problem solving
  • Report writing
  • Provides feedback daily to junior and senior management levels
  • Dealing with and understanding Integration layers (orchestrated and containerized) as well as how they function within complex business processes.
  • A deep infrastructure knowledge especially around architectures
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and solve technical problems.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts such as topology, TCP, UDP, DNS, routing, and communication ports.
  • Understanding firewalls
  • Windows Server 2019 and Window 10 Operating System configurations and management
  • Understanding Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure an advantage)
  • Exposure to and management of server cadence patching / patch cycles across SDLC. (Server Patching and KB Review)
  • Server monitoring tool e.g., Instana
  • Infrastructure
  • Networking

Qualifications

(Minimum):

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications

(Ideal or Preferred):

  • Certification in SQL Programming
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
  • AWS Practitioner is advantageous.

Knowledge

(Minimum):

Must have working knowledge of:

  • IT systems development processes
  • Formal report writing
  • Trend Analysis
  • Strack

(Ideal or Preferred)

Ideal Working knowledge of:

  • Mobile Banking App support (USSD, Internet Banking, Banking App on mobile Devices)
  • Previous experience working with ELK stack and Kibana, Jira
  • SQL, proven experience (basic)
