Our client, an old age home in the
Helderberg area, has an opportunity for a
Senior Sister to join their team.
The position involves the full spectrum of geriatric care for the elderly at the old age home and in the frail care unit.
Requirements:
- Must be a senior registered Nurse with a valid annual registration with the SA Nursing Council.
- At least 5 years' experience of elderly care, as recently as 6 months' ago.
- Knowledgeable and skilled with regards to medication rounds.
- Good wound care knowledge and skills.
- Infection control experience, specifically with regards to Covid 19 regulations within the elderly care environment.
- Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficiency in writing reports.
- Must have strong leadership skills and experience
- Must have relevant experience with regards to the management of geriatric conditions.
- Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Location:
Helderberg area - Strand / Somerset West.
Salary:
R25 000-R27 000 per month depending on experience.
Starting date:
As soon as possible.
