FINANCE MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for overseeing financial and administrative operations to align with Divisional goals.

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS

Financial Strategy:

  • Participate in financial management strategies.

Financial Management:

  • Offer financial insights and assistance across all business functions.

Internal Control:

  • Maintain risk register and ensure internal controls are followed.

Budgets/Forecasts:

  • Prepare operational budgets and review forecasts.

Financial Reporting:

Financial Analysis:

  • Review monthly financial pack and address discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports and returns.

Audits and Year-end Processes:

  • Plan and execute year-end audits and report preparations.
  • Address audit findings and manage tax schedules.

Banking:

  • Manage banking systems and approvals efficiently.
  • Oversee weekly transfers and creditor approvals.

Cash Management:

  • Ensure cash-flow needs are met by sourcing financing and monitoring daily cash positions.
  • Optimize cash flow and working capital.

Forex:

  • Handle Forex risk, contracts, and payments.
  • Review Forex forecasts regularly.

Costing:

  • Recommend financial recovery strategies and assess price increases.
  • Negotiate price increases with key customers.
  • Manage costing accuracy and variances.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to board meetings and monthly Divisional gatherings.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BCom/ Business Administration Degree
  • CIMA
