  • Join us an Instrumentation Technician SF at our Rustenburg Base Metals Refinery.
This role is responsible for providing dedicated technical and operational systems support to the process division. The role requires a high degree of competence in computers and programming for use in highly-automated plants.

The role is further responsible to ensure that all systems are maintained and optimised to ensure that the capacity to the production process is maximised.

**Job Description

  • You will be responsible for**:
  • Identifying high risk and safety critical areas
  • Identifying areas of poor availability
  • Disseminating best practice in instrumentation aspects
  • Auditing highrisk and safety critical areas
  • Analysing and identifying problems on the current control solution
  • System troubleshooting and hardware problems resolution
  • Supporting on existing instrumentation, networks and hardware
  • Calibration and maintenance of all equipment within the control solution
  • Adherence to the Anglo Platinum Change Procedure
  • Adherence to Anglo Platinum Standards
  • Assisting with commissioning for onsite projects

This role is pitched at a Band 7 level and will report into the Control Systems Analyst.
**Qualifications

  • You must have**:
  • Registered as a Professional Engineering Technician with ECSA advantageous

Experience required:

  • 3 years relevant work experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced computer literacy
  • English literate
  • Good decisionmaking skills
  • Valid driving licence code 08

Additional requirements:

To ensure you are fit for the role, you will be required to pass a Medical Fitness Test.
