Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with General managers focusing on empowering, developing, and motivating SHEQ and Area Managers to meet Food Safety KPI's.
  • To focus on maintaining a Food Safety Culture strategy in line with the Group's strategy.
  • To provide an innovative focus in creating solutions that supports Ecowize in being the industry leader without compromising Food Safety standards.
  • Understand the Hygiene and Sanitation market and become a Food safety expert in the field of Cleaning and Sanitation.
  • Ensure systems and processes are in place to meet all regulatory / legislative, customer and standard requirements and thereby maintain Ecowize ISO22000 certification.
  • To ensure that the Food safety focus is maintained through meaningful reports and trends based on verification data received from sites, including feedback from Internal Audits, Customer and Supplier Audits.
  • To focus on internal and external customers by regularly driving meaningful interactions through inclusive partnerships and thereby enhancing customer business retention.
  • To Chair Food Safety team meetings and ensuring action plans are compiled.
  • To remain abreast of the latest technology as well as relevant skills development strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree/ National Diploma or equivalent in Food Technology, Microbiology.
  • Desirable knowledge in FMCG, food production industry, pest control and Laboratory environment.
  • FSSC/ISO22000 Lead Auditor certificate.
  • Project Management experience will be advantageous.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
