Our international agriculture client is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join their dynamic team in Stellenbosch.

R R27 000 PM | Perm | On-site | Stellenbosch | Start ASAP

Requirements:
  • Ability to work without close supervision.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Assist with fruit analysis for research and development trials, including data capture and sample collection.
  • Collection and delivery of fruit samples as required by the technical team during the production season.
  • Assist with operational requirements of trial setups, including arranging and setting up trial equipment.
  • QC Inspections and training
  • Research and development trial assistance
  • QC administration assistance
  • Weekly visits to packhouse and picking stations.
  • Trouble shoot quality issues and concerns with the packhouse/grower.
  • Inform packhouses of any local and export depot related quality issues and rejections.
  • Produce comprehensive visit reports following packhouse and grower visits, assisting in quality-related decision-making – internally and to the packhouse/grower.
  • Inspection site locations: Western Cape, Northern South Africa (JHB, Tzaneen, Northwest & Lowveld) and Zimbabwe.
  • Record and submit reports for fruit rejections, both internally and to third-party entities.
  • Assist customer technologist with fruit allocation and approvals, either directly through fruit sampling feedback or indirectly based on quality insights.
