You will be working as SCM Specialist and will be the part of Process Automation business area for Process Industries division based in Longmeadow, South Africa.

In this role you will be reporting to LBU Supply Chain Manager and will be responsible to support the implementation, maintenance and compliance of Supply Chain Management (SCM) council approved activities.

Execute assigned activities based on the standard procedures, source purchase materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms.

Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities

:

• Delivering and participating in training programs as required for compliance and professional development, executing effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers
• Standardizing processes and implementing routines as per group directives/instructions, always keeping abreast of market changes and trends inorder to source the most competitive pricing as well as informing business on possible price impacts (Risk Mitigation)
• Identifying, selecting and qualifying new suppliers and issuing requests for quotations, creating vendor list and issuing solicitation documents to vendors to procure goods in compliance with procurement procedure
• Negotiating main suppliers and periodically renews pricelists, managers supplier and customer commercials, making purchasing savings on third party purchase orders and reporting the savings in SFDB, supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information and obtaining minimum costs for bid opportunities
• Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs, recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval, analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value
• Keeping track of the delivery date and ensuring the ontime delivery from suppliers, managing supplier OTD and ensuring P2P closure, on time delivery, quality, lead time and resolves performance issues, initiating supply orders in system, getting order acknowledgement from suppliers (As and when required)

Your background

:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• 25 years of experience in project procurement environment
• Thorough understanding of business cycle and outputs mandatory, SAP ERP / SAP Ariba and ABB procure will be advantage
• Qualification in Supply Chain Management an advantage, strong contract and negotiation skills, highly efficient in excel, power point, BI reporting
• Fluency in English language is mandatory
