Shipping Clerk

Company Description

Our client in the IoT / Telecommunication Industry is looking for a Contract Shipping Clerk to cover for a staff member on maternity leave.

Contract will be until end July 202- Create all new orders on evolution, Word and Send to suppliers

• Track and Trace all orders until delivery
• Solving enroute issues
• Update the shipping schedule Weekly for the Team
• Request estimates for Couriers & Freight forwarders
• Assist with Courier Bookings collections and deliveries
• Handle all Imports Sea & Air freight Shipments
• Handle all exports Air Freight Shipment
• Ensure all export documents are Received, Journaled and Filed accordingly
• Handle Pre

- inspection and Liaise with Bureau Veritas on exports

• Ensure we have the necessary updated certificates for imported items
• Handle all forwarder's accounts questions and complaints
• Courier all samples, and assist with RMA repairs
• Request weight, dimensions and all relevant documents from international suppliers
• Handle Shipping documents, ensure correct VAT payable for clearance purposes
• Handle warehousing, if needed
• Verify that we are billed correctly
• Assist with NRSC regulations
• Costings for Local and International GRV on pastel evolution
• Handle all insurance queries on hardware
• Update all International Supplier Recons monthly
• Back up for reception / switchboard function
• Create Journal and Allocate accordingly
• Profit/Loss Clearance

Qualifications

• Air And Sea Freight Shipping Experience of at least 35 Years
• Imports And Exports Experience of at least 35 Years
• Financial background will be a distinct advantage
• Pastel Evolution / Sage 200 Experience Advantage
• Very Good Excel Experience Essential
• System Orientated
• Good Organized Admin Skills
• Figures Oriented
• Attention To Detail
