Full Job Description

What you will do:

Category Management, Strategy, and Leadership

  • Drive the Category Management strategy, and portfolio to deliver bestinclass commercial outcomes. This role will be accountable for leading the Category Management teams across all Indirect Categories with a core focus on Technology. The leader will deliver the Category Strategy across all Technology, Professional Services, and Facilities and lead a team of Category/ Procurement professionals. The role leader will report directly to the Group Head of Procurement/ CPO with a truly global remit.

Strategic Planning and Delivery

  • Execution of groupwide sourcing, procurement, category, and supplier management strategies that support the group, organizational, and other functional strategies.
  • Implementing strategies to reduce procurement costs and implement costsaving initiatives to improve the organization's bottom line.
  • Analyzing insights, spending data, and market trends to identify costsaving opportunities and areas for optimization in sourcing, procurement and supplier management.

Supplier, Contract, and Stakeholder Management

  • Managing the contract and supplier management team to ensure the timely execution of contracts and effective supplier performance.
  • Engaging with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with expectations.
  • Manage the capabilities required for endtoend contract lifecycle and supplier relationship management.

People

  • Planning, recruiting, and managing team capacity to ensure the team is fully staffed and equipped with the resources and skillset required for team effectiveness.
  • Coaching team members to continuously develop their capabilities, enabling improved performance and company culture.
  • Managing employee performance in line with company values and principles.

Knowledge Practice and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensuring team adoption of and adherence to procurement policies and practices to ensure effective and compliant delivery.
  • Implementation of actions to mitigate the occurrence or impact of risk.

  • Make recommendations on ethical sourcing, procurement, category, and supplier management that support the group's operational requirements, sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

The salary range is up to R1.3 million + 2 annual bonuses and benefits
