COMPANY DESCRIPTION:Our client is a leading South African meat wholesaler supplying meat and other food products to sectors of the hotel, restaurant and hospitality industries.

They are looking for a Junior Warehouse Supervisor to join their Gauteng team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production:

  • Daily planning and coordination of the factory's activities, orders, raw materials and staffing
  • Provide feedback on all NCR's raised for factory
  • Ensure operation adheres to food safety rules and ensure GMP's are on standard

Logistics:

  • Receiving and dispatching goods and verifying movements of stock
  • Checking purchase orders against stock levels
  • Preparing delivery schedules
  • Coordinating maintenance and repairs of storage facility
Warehouse Assistant

  • Move inventory and materials across facilities
  • Process inventory for delivery
  • Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location
  • Package items and label correctly
  • Scan delivered items and assure quality
  • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Quality, Food Processing, Production, Logistics or similar)

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 2 + Years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in supervising staff members or leading a team
  • Food industry experience beneficial
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Team player
  • Able to handle pressure and meet deadlines
