Primary Health Care Nurse required in Atlantis, Cape Town

Hours:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 08h00 - 16h00

  • Registered with South African Nursing counsel (SANC).
  • Proof of SASOHN membership/Professional indemnity.
  • Dispensing certificate.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
  • Mathematical acumen.
  • Reasoning ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Intermediate computer skills are essential.

  • The management of the administrative and operational activities of the primary health service of the clinic
  • The adherence to, and implementation of, the employer's policies and procedures
  • Provision of primary health care and emergency service within scope of practice
  • Proper and compliant recordkeeping with regards to primary healthcare, chronic management, health education, dispensing of medication and all other clinic related actions
  • Initiating, facilitating and follow up of all referrals o the Occupational Medical Practitioner or outside healthcare providers and services
  • Assuring compliance with all legislative providers and services
  • Assuring compliance with all legislative requirements pertaining to the operation of a primary health service and dispensing of medication
  • Implementation of infection control measure
  • The implementation and maintenance of a Chronic Disease Management program
  • Monitoring, analysing and follow up of health trends and the reporting thereof to regional manager and client
  • Assistance with the design and management of the clinic's primary healthcare and health education budget
  • Ordering of clinic stock and equipment as well as the keeping of inventory and records
  • The overseeing of the housekeeping and maintenance of the clinics, dispensary and clinic equipment
  • Assisting with the management and administration of injuries on duty according to company policy when needed
  • Assistance to the client with absenteeism managements and sick leave follow up
  • Planning and provision of appropriate health education and wellness programs to employees
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by the OHNP or Regional Manager
Administrative capabilities - data capturing on the health management system (training to be provided).

Salary:
R R150.00 per hour
