Responsibilities:

  • Perform field services, including installation, maintenance, and repair of oxygen systems at remote customer sites throughout the African continent.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve system issues promptly.
  • Provide comprehensive training to operators at customer sites and to colleagues, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to operate the oxygen systems safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement system improvements, upgrades, and modifications as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service visits, repairs, and customer interactions.
  • Complete associated paperwork (costing/projecting requirements/strategic planning duties) timeously and meticulously.
  • Respond to service requests promptly and efficiently, prioritizing customer satisfaction and minimizing system downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to address their concerns, provide technical assistance, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment during field service operations.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to pressure vessels, PSA systems, and oxygen gas.
  • Complete calibrations of a range of sensors used for gas analysis.
  • Full utilisation of the company selected CMMS system.
  • Compliance with company standards and norms, i.e. ISO 9001.

Qualifications:

  • Trade tested millwright with 10 years of experience and Btech or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in field service, maintenance, or repair work.
  • Resourcefulness, determination, and a positive attitude to overcome challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and build strong relationships.
  • Technical proficiency in air compressors, pressure vessels, PSA systems, and oxygen gas is advantageous.
  • Solid PLC programming competence to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize control systems.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to conduct thorough troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
