Job Specification, Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Accurate loading of trucks for routes according to picking sheets,
  • Physically inspect product for quality before loading onto trucks,
  • Pick and palletize orders as needed before loading onto trucks,
  • Manage a team of pickers while preparing orders,
  • Retrieve any product needed for the day from other warehouses,
  • Ensure adequate stock rotation,
  • Assist management in maintaining/implementation of company policies and food safety standards,
  • Investigate stock shorts and resolve any stock variances or issues,
  • Assist management with weekly stock takes and implementation of stock controls,
  • Adhere to and carry out weighbridge procedures and policies,
  • Assist management with vehicle maintenance inspections and reporting.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent,
  • Minimum of 3 years warehouse/dispatch experience required,
  • Processing, wholesale or retail experience preferred,
  • Familiarity with vehicle loading practices and handling methods,
  • Good communication skills,
  • Must be able to work with all levels within the organisation,
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks,
  • Must have drivers license and own transport,
  • Forklift license and ability to drive a forklift preferable.
