Job Summary:
Bosch Umhlanga is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Qualified Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of Vehicles.

You will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service by ensuring the highest quality of repairs and efficient turnaround times.

This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellence in service.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic assessments, repairs, and maintenance on a all makes and models of vehicles.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults accurately and efficiently.
  • Carry out repairs in accordance with Bosch guidelines and specifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, equipment, and software to identify and rectify faults effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time for billing purposes.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients, understanding their needs, and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest technical information and advancements in Bosch products and technologies.
  • Assist in maintaining workshop inventory levels and ordering parts as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and provide technical support as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Formal technical training and certification as a qualified Workshop Technician.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing power tools and equipment, with a strong emphasis on Bosch products.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software for troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a workshop setting.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends, if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training in related fields such as electronics or mechanical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Bosch & Launch diagnostic software and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
