We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team. This pivotal role involves a wide range of financial management tasks, from reconciling bank and customer accounts to overseeing the fixed assets register and creating customer invoices.

The perfect candidate will ensure precise financial records, participate in strategic financial planning, and cultivate strong client connections to uphold the company's reputation and financial stability.

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, Pastel Partner, Evolution, and Sage VIP Payroll.
  • Thorough understanding of eFiling and EasyFile systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VAT regulations, tax rates, and financial metrics.

• Duties:
  • Conduct detailed reconciliations of bank, customer, supplier, and stock accounts.
  • Supervise the preparation and analysis of management reports.
  • Administer payroll functions, including fringe benefits and allowances according to technical and Bargain Council regulations.
  • Process statutory filings such as PAYE, VAT, and UIF.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff on accounting standards and queries.
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and standards.
  • Manage fixed assets and update the fixed assets register.
  • Coordinate resource planning to meet financial targets.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong internal and external client relationships, ensuring obligations are fulfilled on both ends.
  • Identify new revenue prospects and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain professional communication at all organizational levels; respond promptly to inquiries while maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Enhance the company's brand and values through professional behavior.
