Position Overview:


The Body shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of the automotive repair and car center.

To lead a team of technicians and support staff, ensuring high-quality repairs, exceptional customer service, and adherence to safety standards.

The Body shop Manager collaborates with other departments to maintain smooth workflow and achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a skilled team of automotive technicians, painters, and support staff.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to employees.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and a culture of excellence.

Operational Management:

  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
  • Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity and profitability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the body shop's performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain highquality repair standards and ensure all repairs meet or exceed industry and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections of completed work to identify and address any deficiencies promptly.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of repair processes.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with customers to address their concerns, provide updates on repair progress, and ensure overall satisfaction.
  • Handle escalated customer issues professionally and promptly to maintain positive relationships with clients.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets, controlling expenses and ensuring the costeffective operation of the bodyshop.
  • Work with the finance department to track revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Provide accurate estimates to customers and negotiate repair costs when necessary.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a safe work environment, conducting regular safety training sessions, and enforcing safety protocols.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage parts and materials inventory efficiently, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
  • Establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as the Service Department and Parts Department, to streamline processes and enhance overall customer experience.
  • Report to senior management regularly, providing updates on performance, challenges, and improvement plans.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Previous experience in automotive repair, collision center management, or a similar role.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.

Sound knowledge of automotive repair techniques, industry trends, and safety regulations.

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle customer concerns diplomatically.

Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in budget management.
