Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in film, video production, communications, or a related area
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience with bedding brands would be an advantage
  • Knowledge, but not expertise, in professional editing software
  • Understanding of a variety of video, camera, and audio equipment
  • Strong understanding of professional grade lighting for video and photography
  • Knowledge of different video formats and video file conversions, and the ability to convert video files in multiple formats
  • Ability to tell a captivating story in a variety of formats, from short teasers to long form videos
  • Excellent script writing, editorial and storytelling skills (including the creation of storyboards.)
  • Working knowledge of how to conceptualise/produce effective videos for social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Highly collaborative and organised with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment and thrive in intense, deadlinedriven situations
  • Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of delivering on time, within budget, and with a high level of quality; strong attention to detail and followthrough in all aspects of video and photo production including, but not limited to: preplanning (i.e. budget, timelines, equipment), scriptwriting, storyboarding, talent needs, capture plan (locations, permits, etc.), postproduction work and frequent communication
  • Strong understanding of IP rights and copyrights with experience negotiating bids with stock images, music, and voiceover talent houses
  • Experience managing external video and photo vendors
  • Experience managing setbuild vendors
  • Exceptional management skills and experience working with a digital "content hub" accessed by multiple parties (i.e. creative database)
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work well independently with mínimal supervision, but with a keen sense to know when to escalate an issue.
