We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor who is an inspiring, empowering & results orientated leader with a passion for service excellence whilst maintaining standards &meeting or exceeding financial goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing & maintaining preventative maintenance programmes.
- Conducts engineering/maintenance audits & inspections on plant & machinery.
- Provides technical support to the Technical Services Manager & operations team.
- Liaise with Departmental Heads as required.
- Attend operations committee meetings with Operations Manager in place of the Technical Services Manager.
- Monitors & records critical plant operation, meter/gauge information & utilities usage on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as required. These would include cold & deep freeze rooms, load shedding systems & utilities such as electricity, water & fuel.
- Ensures that effective preventative maintenance programs are either in existence & operational or creates & implements programs.
- Ensures that proper preventative maintenance schedules & equipment registers are maintained at the Hotel.
- Provides technical & logístical support as required.
- Conducts a detailed engineering audit/inspection at least once every month.
- Assists as & where required in the event of strikes, breakdowns or other such emergencies.
- Assists with the management of the property/refurbishment projects as directed.
- Will be responsible for the Job/card ticketing system & ensuring that all calls gets assigned to the team of technicians.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (minimum)
- Completed _a recognized apprenticeship_ in a trade such as an _electrician or refrigeration and/or air conditioning._
- Able to qualify as the "responsible person" in terms of the requirements of the legislation.
- Minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship training in a relevant field with people management ability
- Strong technical background with experience in most aspects of the maintenance associated with the hotel industry.
- An organized person, neat & tidy in appearance with a positive attitude.
- Computer literate & experienced in Microsoft suite i.e Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams.
