About the Role:


Utilise sharp commercial and analytical thinking along with strong relationship building skills to manage and grow key accounts across the business.

Stay on top of daily, weekly and monthly sales, identify and solve problems as, when and before they arise. Use strong inter-personal skills to solve root-cause issues with buyers and foster mutually beneficial relationships.

Work closely with the CEO and interface with other heads of departments to accurately forecast sales, provide bi-weekly sales analysis and list new product ranges and brands into stores.

The role will also be tasked with managing several reps and agents around the country.

About You:


You have a degree from a reputable institution and at least 5 years of relevant sales experience including at least 1 year in key accounts.

You have learnt and honed your craft in the FMCG sector, where you have been exposed to key account management, regional and national sales, and learnt how big retailers like dis-chem, Clicks and supermarkets operate.

You have a high degree of digital literacy across many of today's vital business tools including collaborative cloud working, PowerBi, Syspro and exceptional MS Excel skills.

  • Matric / Grade 1
  • Relevant Qualification.
  • 35 years experience in the FMCG Industry.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of all operational activities.
  • Analyse the internal and external business environment and create workable solutions toaddress challenges and/or opportunities that will enhance business performance.
  • Arrive at appropriate, logical, and effective decisions. Understand impact of decision makingon all aspects of the business.
  • Express oneself in a logical, clear, and understandable manner.
  • Influence attitudes and opinions of others and gain agreement to proposals, plans and ideas,skilful at negotiating.
  • Set high goals and standards of work for self and others. Meticulous, precise and thorough.

Job specification:

  • Achieve growth in current and new distribution channels

  • Set appropriate marketing strategies and selling prices
  • Constantly review all trading terms with customers to ensure that they are appropriate andwithin limits determined by the CEO and or Board
  • Provide leadership to staff and identify opportunities to train and develop
  • Update ranging and planograms in your channels
  • Manage a team of agents and company sales and a merchandising team
  • Feedback to head office to include competitor activity noticed in stores, sales trends, priceincreases noticed in stores
  • Provide management reviews
  • Manage and coordinate our consumer expo's
  • Other responsibilities normal to the position
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must become a Product knowledge expert
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills are required to do constant follow ups andnegotiate promotional pricing with buyers.
  • Working experience with, Spar, Pick'nPay, Takealot, Game would be a huge bonus

Salary:

R20-40k CTC per year depending on experience and skill

Salary:

R20 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
