To plan, direct and coordinate all strategic and marketing activities of their respective brand/ brands, in order to achieve consumption growth, sales, profit and marketing objectives.

Responsible for the development/management of market penetration strategies for the consumer market. Cultivates the knowledge of key customers and competitors. Identifies brand growth opportunities. Interacts closely with sales force to make sure to understand and implement Product Marketing plan. Job Family Group - Marketing: Markets the organisation's products.

Designs develop, and implement communication programs to advertise the organisation's products using media (TV, radio, print, direct mail, digital), events, and sales promotions.

Develops and evaluates pricing strategies and structures.


We are looking for someone who shall provide technical support, and maintenance adherence, ensure compliance with GSK quality, EHS and local electrical and automation standards, electrical oversight to projects and assist with validation in the Cape Town Factory.

Ensure technical support and effective maintenance of all electrical and automation systems, units and plant machinery which will result in efficient, reliable, safe, and cost-effective operations and prioritize attendance to electrical and automation breakdowns on all plant equipment.


In this role, you will

  • Must have a specific and thorough underpinning knowledge of the electrical systems that constitute the complete electrical installation of the site, as will be under his team's responsibility.
  • To provide support to the Lead Electrical and Automation Technician with ensuring compliance with the requirements of all applicable GSK Global Engineering Standards (GES).
  • Ensure that all Electrical work is carried out by following the correct steps and precautions and ensure that all tests, inspections, and installations are in accordance with:
  • Relevant international standards
  • National standards
  • Statutory requirements
  • National legislation
  • Equipment manufacturer's guidance/recommendations
  • Provide immediate maintenance support in case of any electrical and/or electrical failure.
  • Support with keeping all electrical vendors and suppliers up to date in terms of Safety File adherence, TPO and SLA agreements.
  • Conduct regular training and develop Standard Work Instructions for the department to improve on breakdown reaction time and plant operations.


 Projects
  • Plan and implement improvement projects. Support in developing URSs for electrical reticulation, during installation and commissioning/validation.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all instruments/control systems to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and maintain inhouse validation/calibration setup to complete all validations/calibrations in compliance with GQPs / GQMPs/GES on time and at optimum cost.
  • Responsible for OT, automation, and control support to the site.
  • Develop a backup strategy for all instruments/systems, to reduce plant downtime
  • Determine and develop local vendors for all instruments/systems supply & service
  • Conduct regular training for other technicians/operators on instrumentation/automation to improve plant operation
  • Liaise with other departments e.g., Operations, QA and stores to implement all the unplanned and planned activities

  • Ensures equipment is maintained and running to required quality standards (SOP)

Qualifications & Skills:

  • N6 Trade Test Certificate or Diploma in Automation/Electrical /Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering/HV/LV
  • At least 3 years experience in Electrical maintenance and Automation and control. Working experience on PLCs.
  • Computer literacy
  • Basic Automation experience
