Gauteng - Randfontein:

A Pharmacist is needed for a new Independent Retail Pharmacy as follows:

A qualified pharmacist is required to join our team, who can assist customers by interpreting symptoms and providing immediate treatment or to successfully refer customers to a suitable physician.

You will also prepare pharmaceuticals by reviewing and interpreting physicians' directives and detect any therapeutic incompatibilities.


To be successful in this role you must be customer-focused and remain up to date with the latest advances in pharmaceutical science.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of retail pharmacy experience
  • Propharm computer systems experience
  • BPharm


 Computer literate
  • MS Office
  • Staffsupervision experience
  • Willing to work retail hours
  • Solid mathematical skills
  • Retail/FMCG expertise
  • SAPC registration

WORKING HOURS:
Mon-Fri: 8:30 - 18:00, Sat: 8:30 - 16:00, Sun: closed

LEAVE DAYS: 15

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • The purchase, acquisition, import, possession, use, release, storage, packaging, repackaging, supply, or sale of any medicine or scheduled substance, or its oversight.
  • The compounding, manipulation, preparation, or packaging of any medication or controlled substance, as well as the oversight.
  • Accurately interpret scripts and act professionally and responsibly, while adhering to the SAPC's legal requirements.
  • Stay track of modifications to medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and disbursement.
  • Providing information and advice to anyone regarding the use of medicine.
  • Providing immunizations, and other medical services, such as taking blood pressure, temperature measurements, and checking blood sugar levels.
  • Delivery of any controlled substance or medication per a physician's order.
  • Performing other administrative tasks when needed
