Consultant Pathologist:
Chempath

Purpose of Position:

To consult with clients (doctors and patients) and laboratory personnel. To manage the laboratory and establish and maintain a high-quality pathology service.

Requirements:

FC Path (SA) required, HPCSA registration in relevant register and Practice Field required, MBChB Required, M Med (Pathology) Required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise Clients on life threatening results
  • Continuous Education for Pathology laboratories
  • Maintain client relations to promote the image of the Laboratory
  • Marketing, Oversee the standard of the work performed, overall operation and administration in the laboratory
  • Promotion of Professional Standards and Expertise, Provision of Continuous Pathology/

Clinical Laboratory Service:
Consultation with doctors,

  • Control and monitoring of results, Result verification, Reporting, Participation in Peer Group,
  • Signout all abnormal results according to criteria
