Salary negotiable depending on experience

Responsible person in issuing and receiving tools, production stock and stock within warehouse operation, process and maintain inventory records.

Experience in:
- storing
- issuing
- shipping
- receiving materials and supplies
- operating material handling equipment
- entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of electronic parts; store and issue electronic inventory and supplies

Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily inventory activity; maintains accurate inventory master files, manufacturer and item numbers, minimums and material descriptions.
  • Maintain adequate levels of inventory stock of all critical spare parts for production and order fulfilment
  • Prepare reorder reports with quantities required for inventory stock communication with purchasing department for ordering.
  • Physical inventory count. providing proper counts for yearend stock taking.
  • Review delivery records, monitor GRN
  • Reconcile invoices with correct GRN, then forwards both to accounts for payments.
  • Work closely with purchase department and vendor for quick delivery and services
  • Issues supplies, materials, tools and equipment to required departments and/or employees.
  • Receive delivered supplies, materials and equipment from suppliers as well as restocks and inspect items returned into inventory.
  • Organize and maintain storage and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling, including labelling/tagging, stocking and organizing stock items on shelving.
  • Working closely with maintenance and production department to understand various requirements of parts and consumables.
  • Organize the spare parts inventory / stock storage and reorder procedures.
  • Maintain inventory records by adding or deleting items as they are issued or received; verifies, updates, and reconciles inventory information;
  • Perform physical inventory verification of warehouse and supply yard and reconciles records;
  • Determine proper floor and shelf location for supplies; ensure hazardous materials are stored safely;
  • Receive and unload freight; tags supplies and stocks shelves;
  • Adhoc tasks as issued

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role with general admin experience
  • Must have matric
  • Must be able to handle pressure and work in a deadline driven environment
  • English proficient (written and verbal)
  • Good health & physically fit (some items needs assistance with lifting)
  • No criminal record

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
