Duties and Responsibilities
- Removing old HVAC equipment so new systems can be installed.
- Running pipe and duct systems through homes
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams
- Understanding refrigeration cycles
- Knowing how to interpret various technical data, such as pressure and temperature
- Perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and replacements. Ensure all systems operate efficiently and sustainably, aligning with our commitment to ecofriendly solutions.

- Coordinating the maintenance of training records, and attendees ensuring that information is filed.
- Ensuring that the learning environment complies to all legal requirements.
- Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of training
- Assisting learners/ employees in the class who do not understand.
- Preparing and updating reports pertaining training
- Processing all documents accurately and timely according to company policies and procedures
- Filing documents for records to ensure compliance and future retrieval.
- Deliver quality training which includes learnership, apprentice, trade testing, ARPL, KM & PM trade facilitation, and regulatory requirements to ensure that trainees are able to achieve the required level of competence and understand the safe working procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Align equipment by using specialized tools.
- Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals.
- Facilitate learners to be able to disassemble machine parts when transporting or repairing them and reassemble the parts.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a diploma in HVAC/R as well as industrial refrigeration mechanic red seal.
Assessor and
Moderator certification for Generic Management Qualification on NQF Level 4.
Work experience
- Minimum 3 years working experience in the HVACR industry.
- Gas Handling experience
- Proficient in servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of systems including Air Handling Units, Water Cooled Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Cooled Chillers, and Split Air-Conditioning Systems. Expertise in additional HVAC/R systems is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in facilitating and assessing leadership.
- Familiarity with relevant legislative and quality assurance requirements.
