The Marketing Managers will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for the entire Foskor Zirconia product range (or specific lines of business and brands within the organisation) to attract new potential customers and retain existing ones.


HEADLINE KEY RESULT AREAS/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing a marketing strategy for each area/product within the broad guidelines of the strategic plan.
  • Selecting market segments and market areas. Which market to enter, maintain or withdraw from. These inputs will form the basis for the annual strategic plan.
  • Ongoing study of the market concerning products, compositions, prices, competitors, potential clients, client specifications, etc., and recording of this information. These inputs form the basis of the annual strategic plan.
  • Plan, prepare for and carry out international market visits.
  • Appoint agents/distributors/traders in consultation with the Foskor Zirconia COO.
  • Brief Foskor Zirconia Senior Management on visits and pass on the market, sales, and product information to staff/colleagues and set in motion offers and/or samples to new and prospective customers.
  • Ongoing study of the market concerning products, compositions, prices, competitors, potential clients, client specifications, etc., and recording of this information. These inputs form the basis of the annual strategic plan.
  • Together with the Foskor Zirconia COO and Financial Manager, establish pricing policies and set customerrelated prices in accordance with the broad pricing policies of the FZ Strategic Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE & EXPOSURE REQUIRED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):


  • Preferred: BSc Degree in Science/Technology and two (2) to three (3) years of experience in International Sales and Marketing.

Ideal: BA in Marketing specializing in Technical Product Marketing and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in International Sales and Marketing.

ESSENTIAL:


Individuals must be able to travel internationally, hold a valid passport and be prepared to work extended hours and overtime both domestically and especially whilst travelling overseas.
