Maintenance Handyman

Under the control of the General Manager, and according to the hotel's procedures, the Handyman carries out all maintenance work related to his trade (plumbing, electricity, painting, etc.) and tasks related to repairing the hotel's technical equipment.

He/she contributes to the smooth running of the establishment, by respecting the safety regulations in force and the work completion deadlines put in place.

• Maintains a polite and respectful relationship with the hotel's guests, particularly when moving around the hotel and when in the rooms;
• Respects guests' privacy when carrying out work without disturbing them.

• Carries out all of the necessary repairs of the technical equipment, as well as any odd jobs that arise, whilst keeping the site clean and without disturbing the guest, in line with the hotels service standards;
• Checks for and prevents faults with the technical equipment according to the schedule established;
• Keeps the record of work carried out by the technical department up to date;
• Implements the corrective action plans assigned to him/her by the General Manager;
• Follows the preventive maintenance plan;
• Reports any incidents to the General Manager;
• Uses the technical products and equipment as per the relevant recommendations;
• Takes care of the material under his/her control;
• Always keeps their technical tools clean and tidy when using them;
• May be called upon for tasks outside of working hours at the request of his/her manager, according to the department's needs;
• Given the multiskilled nature of the position, he/she may be given tasks or projects other than those with his usual scope, depending on the hotel's needs and at the request of his/her manager.

• Ensures the cleanliness and the tidying of their workspace, in whether visible to customers or not;
• Contributes to the good state and cleanliness of the changing rooms and common areas that he/she uses;
• Ensures that the corridors and emergency exits are constantly cleared, so that the fire doors can be closed and the hotel can be evacuated in the event of a fire;
• Carries out his task in an environmentally responsible manner, while guaranteeing hygiene standards:
• Helps optimise water and energy consumption (lighting, equipment settings);
• Follows the technical guidelines for product usage, storage and disposal defined by the hotel.
