JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Educational Qualification Grade 1
A National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification
A minimum of 3 years experience in the chemical/manufacturing/pharmaceutical industry
SAP experience is required
Must possess thorough knowledge and understanding (local and international) of the procurement and purchasing process within the manufacturing environment, i.e., chemical and/or pharmaceutical would be beneficial.

JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary):

Ensure optimum stock levels of stationery is maintained in line with internal customer requirements
Obtaining quotations for nonproduction spend items where required
Generate purchase orders from requisitions for nonproduction spend consumables, reference standards, indirect nonstock consumables, indirect operating expenses, indirect travel, PPE, and Qcodes.
Monitor and report on requisitions in process
Optimisation of fastmoving stock items without causing stockouts
Follow up on outstanding orders and ensure timeous delivery of orders
Adhoc administrative duties assigned in the department
Responsible for the loading of new vendors and new item codes
Ensure compliance with the company's affirmative procurement strategy where possible
Meet affirmative procurement spending target
Ensure all sections within the department maintain compliance with company OHSE standards and GMP standards
