The role entails conducting rigging and lifting operations according to set guidelines. As part of MMC's engineering services team, you will collaborate closely with different departments and engineering teams to ensure top-tier service delivery. Operating around the clock, success in this role hinges on achieving optimal equipment uptime and throughput at minimal costs. Daily tasks will involve risk assessments, work planning, and execution, emphasizing the importance of a meticulous approach.

• N3/Matric qualification with Mathematics and Science.
• Trade Certification as a qualified Rigger.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Possession of a Code 10 driver's license.
• Valid Overhead crane license.
• HIAB Certification.
• 3-4 years of post-qualification rigging experience.
• Efficiently execute tasks as per Work Orders and detailed Task Lists.
• Document job details accurately and timely.
• Provide feedback on task requirements to superiors.
• Identify equipment maintenance needs and report accordingly.
• Conduct regular inspections on the HIAB.
• Maintain color coding on mobile crane and HIAB equipment.
• Perform risk assessments and secure work permits prior to rigging tasks.
• Create master lifting plans for rigging activities.
• Ensure proper maintenance of tools and lifting gear.
• Organize lifting activities based on production demands.
• Conduct crane and plant inspections and address safety concerns.
• Uphold a clean work environment.
• Complete company vehicle logbooks.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles and property.

Working Environment:

• Work is predominantly plant and workshop-based, with exposure to hazardous substances.
• Frequent local travel may be necessary.
• Standby duties are part of the role.
