Petra Diamonds is a leading independent diamond-mining group and an increasingly important supplier of rough diamonds to

The position is based in Gauteng (close to OR Tambo airport).

PLEASE NOTE:
This is a fixed term contract role and paid on an hourly rate. The successful incumbent will be required to

**work, as and when required due to production requirements.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
Reporting to the Manager: Sales and Marketing, this role will be responsible to perform general administrative

duties and assist with all diamond tender related processes.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the adherence to security and Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) protocols.

Model behaviour that is consistent with the Company Safety, Health and Environment Vision and Values. Manage and report on
non-compliance issues.

Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the Sales & Marketing
team and respective internal and external stakeholders.

Assist with the State Diamond Trader Process

Assist with the Government Diamond Valuator Process

Assist with the Diamond Tender Process with regards to the Diamond Export and Exchange Centre (DEEC)

Assist with all diamond imports and exports for Petra Diamonds

Assist with all diamonds sales related processes

Assist with all administrative duties relevant to the tender process

Take cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage and report on non-compliance
issues.

Effective Team Player and Effective Self-Management.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12

National Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent (NQF Level 5)

Minimum 3 years' experience within a general administration environment within the diamond industry.

Computer literate (Proficient in MS Office suite)

Valid drivers' license

ADVANTAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 3 years' experience within the diamond industry in terms of government and tender processes.

Knowledge of SARS protocols in terms of exports



TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

Demonstrate knowledge and skill in developing, implementing and maintaining an effective filing system.

Run a basic database of service providers related to office maintenance and catering requirements.

Process Purchase Orders and/or invoices.

Work under pressure; portray high levels of integrity, attention to detail, assertiveness and problem solving skills.

Demonstrate knowledge and skill in administration principles and practices.

Work within a team and display knowledge of cultural awareness to effectively deliver business objectives.

Know and understand all related company policies and procedures.

Demonstrate knowledge and skill in using the applicable Petra Diamonds Viewing system.
