Role Description

Reporting to the Group Finance & Operations Manager, this is a full-time on-site role for a Sales & Reservations Manager at an upmarket Island Resort head office in Johannesburg.

The purpose of this role is to enhance the profitability of our Reservations Department and drive revenue growth both nationally and internationally.


Responsibilities:

  • Support, advise, and guide the Sales Consultants team.
  • Promote highquality, efficient service for our clients and agents.
  • Assist the General Manager with revenue strategies, marketing, and advertising.
  • Oversee the initial response to all inquiries and track their progress.
  • Provide direction and support to the FIT team.
  • Acquire new business and maintain existing relationships.
  • Compile and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly statistics for review.
  • Attend trade shows both nationally and internationally.
  • Analyse and develop rate structures.
  • Provide statistical analysis and strategic recommendations to the management team

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications will prove advantageous but are not essential if well experienced in a similar role.

Skills


Minimum of 5 years in a similar position, Experience in sales & marketing in the luxury hotel industry, Strong communication skills in English, any additional foreign language is a plus, Experience in reservations and solid understanding of revenue management, Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, Flexibility to travel locally and overseas for business/trade shows, etc.

Experienced in working with International Clientele market. Working Knowledge of Semper (or similar reservations system) and all OTAs essential.
