We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Purchasing Department in the capacity of Sportswear Buyer.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about fashion and product to join the exciting world of eCommerce.

Key Performance Areas:

• Develop and manage seasonal buying budgets and plans with the Planner.
• Facilitate, manage and conduct the preseason order selection process.
• Select the correct suppliers for the appropriate product category and manage them accordingly.
• Negotiate supplier contract terms and conditions, credit maintenance, payment terms and discounts with suppliers.
• Be accountable for delivery on all KPI's sales targets, margin, sell through and discounting.
• Ensure orders are placed and effectively manage the purchase order process.
• Perform weekly sales analysis to ensure proactive buying.
• Manage and approve replenishment orders, as requested by Planner.
• Manage, mentor and develop Buying assistant on Department.
• Lead all Sports marketing input for onsite, social media and UX.
• Ensure that marketing process is driven by supplying the correct information and product for promotions.

Education, skills, behaviour and knowledge required:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Buyer capacity.
• Already established relationships with existing key account Sports brands in SA Market.
• Strong range building and product development skills required in Streetwear/Lifestyle and Sports categories.
• Proactive and accountable for driving Sports Department.
• Need to be a strong communicator both internally and externally.
• Advanced level in MS Office package with a specific focus on Excel and Powerpoint.
• A good understanding of the South African and International consumer market.
• Decision maker, entrepreneurial skills to grow the Sports department.
• A passion for fashion related products and creative ability for new innovations.
• Ability to manage stockholding.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints.
• Ability to think strategically and commercially.
• Good presentation skills.
• Strong numerical skills.
• Selfdriven and motivated.
• A strong understanding of analyzing sales reports strong analytical skills.
