Bakery Department Manager Cayman Islands

Salary: Market Related, Permanent with benefits

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Bakery Department Manager based in the Cayman Islands. Experience in a bakery department within a retail store, bakery, or other food service environment essential. This is a permanent position, flights to the island and your work permit will be covered by the company.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills

  • Qualification in culinary training or experience, and a solid understanding of food safety
  • Operations management in retail experience
    • Excellent management and organizational skills, and experience in managing a team of employees.
    • Responsible for overseeing the bakery department
    • Relevant professional certifications preferred
    • Police Clearance Certificate & Valid Passport
    • Medicals and Bloodwork tests to be completed prior to departure
    • Company will assist with Work Permit, and extended Visa upon arrival on the island

Duties:

  • Budgeting: Developing and executing the budget, and implementing cost control measures
  • Marketing: Developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote bakery products
  • Vendor relations: Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Sales analysis: Assessing sales reports to determine which products are selling well and which are not
  • Standard operating procedures: Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures for cleanliness, safety, sanitation, efficiency, and team member development
  • Inventory management: Ordering supplies, managing inventory, and tracking inventory levels
  • Production: Overseeing baking operations, developing and testing new products, and ensuring quality and consistency
  • Staff management: Scheduling employees, managing front-of-house staff, and interviewing, selecting, and training team members
  • Administrative tasks: Completing administrative and managerial tasks
  • Deliveries: Managing the in-house delivery schedule and processes
  • Food waste: Working to produce minimal food waste
