We are seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to work on the development, testing, and maintenance of avionics systems and equipment. This role involves working with a team of engineers and designers to ensure that avionics systems are designed, integrated, and verified in compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will be responsible for creating solutions for complex avionics challenges, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test avionics systems, including flight control systems, navigation, communication, and monitoring equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications, and integration strategies.
  • Perform hardware and software integration of avionics components, ensuring proper functionality and reliability.
  • Work on troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving avionics system issues, both in the lab and in the field.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, certification, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, FAA regulations).
  • Perform system validation and verification testing, including flight tests when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, test procedures, and maintenance manuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in avionics technology and integrate new technologies into design solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in avionics engineering, including design, integration, and testing of avionics systems.
  • Strong understanding of avionics systems, including flight control, communication, navigation, and monitoring systems.
  • Proficiency with avionics software and hardware design tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, DOORS, etc.).
  • Experience with system modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations such as DO-178C, DO-254, and other aerospace industry certifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
