Conducting quality control checks on all products to ensure excellent quality. Assisting with the implementation of effective laboratory health and safety procedures and In-process Quality Control

Requirements: Please note this is a fixed term contract
  • Degree/Diploma in Food Technology/Biotech/Analytical
  • 2+ years of relevant experience within the FMCG/manufacturing industry
  • Should be able to uphold and maintain the current Quality systems in place, exposure to quality systems and HACCP will be an added advantage
Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control Testing
  • Online QC checks BB/Label/Weight
  • Factory and Yard hygiene.
  • Issuing PPE
  • Laboratory analysis (All lab tests on the manufactured product will be trained on all procedures)
  • Responsible for ensuring labware are washed on a daily basis
  • Assist with routine QC testing and shelf life testing as required
  • Responsible to record all test results in protocol daily
  • Responsible for reporting non-conformances to QC manager immediately
  • Replenishing of stock in all areas of lab
  • Performing all laboratory tests for online products, refinery, storage tanks and incoming tankers. Tests include FFA, PV, Moisture, Density, Refractive Index, Color, Soap, Wax, Phosphorous and GC Analysis.
  • Calibration of all equipment
  • Ensuring that GMPs, GHPs and GLPs are adhered to
  • Issuing of chemicals
  • Pest control
  • Monitoring of CCPs
  • Documentation control.
