We have a position available for a bookkeeper / administrative assistant at our firm If you want to join our awesome team on a 4 month contract, please see the requirements below or if you might know the right candidate please share this post.Thank you We are looking for a customer service orientated, self-driven candidate to assist us with the full bookkeeping and tax administration function. Your 2-3 year working experience as a bookkeeper combined with your ability to work under pressure will count in your favour.Job Description: • Data processing from source documents to the level of finalized financial statements.• Calculation, submission and handling of all tax types by SARS.• Liaison with government departments (E.g.

The Department of Labor and the Compensation Commissioner.) to perform duties as requested by clients.• Review of clients’ accounting work.• Visits to clients at their offices to perform duties as required. • From time to time other duties will be required due to the nature of our industry as well as company deadlines.• Pickup and delivery of clients’ documents, books and statements.Minimum Requirements: • Matric certificates• Training / Qualification and / or experience of an accounting nature.• Professional qualification or membership would be beneficial, but not essential. ((E.g. SAIBA of SAIPA etc.).• Minimum 2-3 year experience in at least an accounting clerk position.• Ability to work without supervision.• Fully computer literate in preferably Outlook, Word, Excel, Pastel Partner, Sage One & IQ Business.• Client service and teamwork skills is essential.• Good telephone and e-mail ethics.• Ability to work under pressure and handling stress well.• Effective interpersonal skills and attention to detail.• Effective time management and deadline driven.

Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and prioritise duties.• Ability to follow instructions and take on new challenges.• Must be able to work to the level of finalized financial statements and must have strong Pastel or IQ skills.• Experience in negotiation and communication with the Department of Labour and the Compensation Commissioner.• Valid driver’s license essential. (Own vehicle beneficial)• Must be completely bi-lingual. Speak, read and write both Afrikaans and English.• Working hours - 08h00 – 17h00. Monday to Friday.The position will be available at the beginning of September 2018.
