An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Wet Reliever Skipper responsible for the safety, navigation, cleanliness and operation of a trawler and the total complement on board and who directs fishing operations of the vessel.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE:

3 Years Skipper experience on fishing vessels

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skipper Grade 2/ Fisherman Grade 2

COURSES COMPLETED:

Annual Medical Ship Captains Medical Advance Fire Fighting GMDSS – Radio Certificate PSSR CISC DSD Marine Fire Fighting Marine First Aid Communications Leadership & Management Conflict Management

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & KNOWLEDGE:

Fishing Rights (FRAPP) Vessel Management SAMSA MS Office Excellent Communication skills (Verbal & Written) Health & Safety on vessels

COMPETENCIES:

Continuously Improving Articulating Information Making Decisions Inspiring Others Being self confident Understanding Others Planning & Organising Persisting
