MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate/ equivalent Section 13 Trade Test or Section 26D as a qualified electrician At least 5 years winder and shaft experience First Aid and Competent B is an added advantage Driver’s literacy Medically fit

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Equipment installation, repairs, maintenance in the shaft Workshop procedures, installation and maintenance Legal requirements as per Mine Health and Safety act Winder maintenance, knowledge and legal requirements Maintenance of quality engineering standards Knowledge of environmental, health and safety standards

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Report all incidents and accident, unsafe condition and unsafe acts Risk assessments must be conducted for each task Ensure tools and equipment are sufficient, in good condition and safe to use All legal inspections must be conducted according to the time intervals and a true report recorded in the record book Be responsible for sub-ordinates, maintenance schedule, Health and Safety in area of responsibility Ensure availability of spares and materials and enforce good house keeping
