SIX (06) MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT 
(INTERNAL & EXTERNAL) 

The organisation is calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of Store Controller for Beverage and Food Stores.  The Store Controller is critical for maintaining clear records of inventory, issuing of stock, placing orders as per the requirements of the events and providing smooth operations in the stores.  The incumbent will report to the Finance Manager. 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES 
Minimum Qualifications 

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification  Certificate or Diploma in Inventory/Stores Management  Two (02) to three (03) years’ experience in Store Management

KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE 

Manage the loading dock and store room  Monitor the life span of goods that are already in stock  Capture stock count quantities and capture on to the system  Prioritise all items that are required for the events and exhibitions  Receive and print out purchase orders that come from the Buyers  Advise user departments on goods that are moving slowly from shelf  Provide an update on the stock control sheet and report on variances  Participate in meetings and provide information on Supply Chain Management  Raise purchase requisitions on JD Edwards for the stock that is required and follow up on approval of orders from management  Receive and sign for all delivered goods and only accept goods when they are delivered in good condition and a copy of a purchase order in place.
