Extensive transportation and distribution knowledge Require Output/ Responsibilities: Business Development  Develop and implement Business Development strategy aligned to BU goals and objectives Acquisition of long-term contracts, with prominent mines & commodity traders, with stable monthly volumes (75% of workload); Ad hoc work to be supplementary in nature (max 25%) Implement complementary business development initiatives to achieve goals: tenders, cold calling, relationship leveraging, service offering expansion to current clients, etc. Manage business development pipeline carefully to track opportunities to closure.  Fleet Business Development  Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, client’s needs, and competitive landscapes to capitalize on opportunities (up-to-date data on targeted routes, clients and competitors to be maintained). Analyse market data to develop effective strategies for entering new markets or expanding within existing markets. Participate in and prepare pricing strategies. Where required, participate negotiating of contract terms, pricing, and agreements with clients. Collaborate with senior management team to develop plans and initiatives to drive business growth. Assist with onboarding and ensure all compliance requirements are met.  Proposal Development & Negotiations Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, tenders and pitches to showcase the company's offerings and value propositions. Lead negotiations, structure deals, and close agreements with potential partners and clients. Negotiate contract terms, SLA and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with company objectives. Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts, SLAs and agreements.  Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Collaborate as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements and client deliverables. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including other departments, senior management, customers, and external partners, to align operational objectives and address any issues or concerns. Collaborate with clients and logistics partners to ensure a smooth flow of materials, inventory management, and timely deliveries.
